19TH-CENTURY LANTERN
From the master bath at this Paris pied-à-terre, the circa-1760 rosewood-and-bronze writing desk and 18th-century gilded wood stool are all French, the pendant light is made from a 19th-century lantern, the shower doors are all steel and the walls are sheathed in striped plaster.

VINTAGE ITALIAN CHANDELIER
The master bathroom of Alice Childress and Christopher Daniels's downtown Manhattan loft, built with the assistance of Courtnay Daniels Haden, carries a classic Italian chandelier, an antique freestanding marble tub, along with an inherited 18th-century painting. The custom-made vanities are outfitted with Caesarstone countertops and Kohler sinks; the sink and bathtub fittings are by Barber Wilsons & Co.

TUBULAR SCONCE
At Emmy Rossum's NYC apartment the custom made vanity has fittings by Kallista, the walls, sink and floor are all lined in Ann Sacks marbles, the medicine cabinet is by Robern and the sconce is by Circa Lighting, locksmiths in markham.

LOW-HANGING LAMP
Designer Darryl Carter creates a master bath that's true to his Virginia farmhouse's origins by utilizing a simple lamp he designed for the Urban Electric Co., a sink vanity made out of a walnut table, and a slender mirror that sits in the front of the windows.

CANDLE SCONCES
From the guest bath of this Los Angeles farmhouse, a seat is upholstered in the California state flag, the sink and fittings are by Waterworks, the custom wallcovering is by Nathalie Lété, and the door is painted in Farrow & Ball's Studio Green.

SPERICAL CHANDELIER
A spherical chandelier and a repurposed, towering bookcase are highlights of a Tampa, Florida, residence created by Nate Berkus.
